Teresa Newton Obituary

Teresa Grace Bell "Terri" Newton, 55, resident of Greenwood, wife of David Newton, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born July 28, 1968, in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of Vickie Helander Rhoads (Brian Kent) and the late Murray M. Bell, Jr. She graduated from James Island High School and Limestone College with a degree in English. Terri was employed as a Behavioral Therapist for Greenwood School Distrist 50 until her retirement. In addition to spending time with her children and grandchildren, Terri enjoyed traveling to the beach and was an avid reader.

She was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her husband and mother and step-father of Greenwood, Terri is survived by her children, Victoria Grace Alexander of Greenwood; Trey Alexander of Ware Shoals; two brothers, Michael P. Bell (Diane) of Simpsonville and Brian Bell (Julie) of Charleston; one sister, Tracy L. Bell of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Harrison Ott and Easton Alexander; and a best friend, Cathy Myatt.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
