William Robert "Bobby" Anderson

William Robert "Bobby" Anderson, 80, former resident of Hitt Street, widower of Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Cooner Anderson, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at NHC of Greenwood.

Born June 19, 1944, in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Hubert Gary Anderson and Anna Christine Cochran Anderson. Bobby served in the National Guard and retired as Head Miller from Adluh Milling Company with over 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Bobby was a member of Hodges Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a sister, Debbie Anderson Smith (Randall) of Greenwood; a brother, Gary Anderson (Judith) of Greenwood; sister-in-law, Josephine Bartley (Derrell)of Ninety Six; brother-in-law, Roy Cooner (Linda) of Ninety Six; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years; infant sister, Bonnie Fay Anderson; sisters-in-law, Lenora Cross and Agnes Nickles; brothers-in-law, Robert Nickles, Martin Cooner, and Francis Cooner, Jr.; and nephew, Travis Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Hampton Hunter officiating.

There will be a private family burial.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 1- 2 Monday afternoon.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of National Health Care of Greenwood for the wonderful care given to Bobby.
