Beulah Malone Obituary

Beulah D. Pettiford Malone Age 97, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2004. She was the youngest child of 18 born to the late Joseph and Martha Weaver Pettiford. All of her siblings preceded her in death. On August 30, 1941, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Clarence Olie Malone. She and her husband traveled extensively and shared many years of marital contentment. Her husband preceded her in death in 1988. She was a faithful, long-time member and financial supporter of the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Indianapolis, where she served the Missionary Society, Bethel Booster Club and the July Birthday Club. She was also a member of Sunday Night Supper Club. Mrs. Malone worked with her husband for 25 years in the businesses they owned for 37 years, the Imperial Dry Cleaners and the Imperial Liquor Store. She faithfully attended the Pettiford Reunion, now known as the Pettiford-Weaver Reunion, for 84 consecutive years. On Saturday, November 13, there will be visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. with a Remembrance Celebration to be held at 10:30 a.m. in Stuart Mortuary, Inc. She will be interred at Crown Hill Cemetery, next to her beloved husband. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Stuart Mortuary.
