Bill Dunn Obituary
77, went to his heavenly home November 3, 2016. Bill was born in Evansville, IN, October 20, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret L. and William A. Dunn.
Bill grew up in Evansville, IN and graduated from Bosse High School in 1958. He also attended Indiana University.
Bill worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Indiana for 20 years as a national sales manager. He received many awards in sales and marketing while working at Blue Cross.
Bill moved to Tampa, FL, in 1993, working in sports marketing and advertising. Bill represented Sebring International Raceway, Walt Disney World Speedway, Indy Racing League, and Tampa Bay Mutiny.
Bill enjoyed all sports and had many hobbies. He had a love for golf and had the opportunity to play at many golf courses worldwide. He also was an avid racquetball player at the Indianapolis Athletic Club and was nationally ranked in the amateur league.
Later in life, Bill's favorite pastime was singing Johnny Cash songs at karaoke. He also attended Grace Family Church.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Lesa (Steve) Grady of Indianapolis, IN and Trisha (Andrew) Wells of Augusta, GA. He also has 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Bill was loved by all and never met a stranger. He mentored many people over the years and was a source of encouragement to all. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood Chapel, Tampa, FL, on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12 p.m. Services will begin at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL. in his name.

Bill and I worked together briefly in Southfield Michigan, before he left for Florida; he was a really good guy, lots of fun, and gave me a lot of valuable advice. He will be missed.

We just returned from the Keys and learned the sad news. Bill was a great friend to so many people in Carrollwood. It will be very sad not to see him around. He had such a love for his daughters and their families. We are glad we got to know him and hear him sing Johnny Cash. May God bless him and his family.
