Bruce Cantwell Obituary

Bruce D. Cantwell Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Bruce D. Cantwell. Mr. Bruce D. Cantwell, age 59, of 512 Brentwood Drive, Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 1, 1946, in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of Orville Dennis Cantwell, Jr. and Isabella Witsman Cantwell. He was raised in the Kilmore, Indiana community and was a member of the Kilmore United Methodist Church in Kilmore. He was a 1964, graduate of the Kilmore High School. He was a 1972, graduate of Purdue University with a B.S in Forestry, he served in the ROTC program at Purdue from 1964-1968. Bruce was inducted into the United States Army in 1968. He served in Korea during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged in 1970. He was united in marriage on May 27, 1972, to Patricia Ann Hart. In 1972, Bruce began along career with Civil Service in Battle Creek, Michigan from 1972 through 1983. He then moved to Madison in the Summer of 1983, and began working in the Army Civil Service at the Jefferson Proving Ground in Madison, from 1983 - 1996. Bruce died on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 11:13 pm at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, with his loving and devoted wife Pat at his side. Mr. Cantwell will be missed by his wife Patricia Ann Cantwell of Madison, Indiana; 2 sons Bryan Dennis Cantwell of Indianapolis, Indiana; Patrick Robert Cantwell of Hanover, New Hampshire; mother Isabella Witsman Cantwell of Frankfort, Indiana; his sister Karen Keough of Medina, Ohio; father-in-law and step mother-in-law Robert E. and Doris Hart of Indianapolis, Indiana; his mother-in-law Jo Anne Snyder of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father Orville Dennis Cantwell, Jr., who died Nov. 18, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 21, 2005 at 3:30 p.m., by Pastor Steve Rasmussen at Kilmore United Methodist Church, 4159 Co. Road O Kilmore, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Kilmore Cemetery, Kilmore, Indiana, with military honors provided by Frankfort American Legion Post #12. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2005, at the Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana; Monday from 1:00 pm to the time of the service at the Kilmore United Methodist Church in Kilmore, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in the name of Bruce D. Cantwell. Cards are available at the funeral home.
