Carol H. Hiser

76, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 24, 2016. She was born July 17, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late John and Donna Jean Vickers Heller.

Carol graduated from Indiana University and was a substitute teacher at Warren Central High School. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church for 20 years, where she sang in the choir. She was a committee chair woman for a precinct in Warren Township and loved oil painting. Carol was a loving wife and mother and never met a stranger.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 7995 E. 21st St. with visitation 1 hour prior.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Al Hiser; son, John Michael Hiser; daughter, Lisa Harrington (Paul); brother, John Heller and grandson, Ethan A. Hiser.  Her son, Albert E. Hiser, Jr. preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Bethel UMC. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.

Carol will be truly missed. We didn't see her much in recent years but her sense of humor and love of life will always be in our hearts. She left a wonderful legacy in her family. RIP, sweet Carol. Praying for peace and comfort to the family.
