Dr. Brown was a mentor and a friend. I really enjoyed my two years of endodontic training under his guidance. I miss his weekly text messages.

I had just graduated Dental School in 1980 and was sent to Okinawa Kadena Air Base with my wife Kathy to serve as a general dentist. As I rotated through his endodontic practice for 3 months, we hit it off immediately. I loved his very dry sense of humor and his philosophy of dentistry and life which have stayed with me throughout my career. The friendship we developed with him and Bev will never be forgotten. My wife learned the fine art of shopping in the far east from Bev! Our house is still filled with those treasures. I am sad I didn't get a chance to tell Cecil just how much he influenced me professionally and personally but I want the family to know I will never forget his friendship. I have tried to use his example of mentoring to every young dentist I have the opportunity to speak with. Sending love and prayers to the entire Brown family. Dan and Kathy Burk

He was a fabulous mentor to me during my USAF GPR year( 78-79) at Andrews AFB about dentistry and USAF. I still quote him to my friends. We lost touch over time but I always regarded him as my best mentor. We jogged together very often that year including 2 runs of 9 miles around the perimeter of Andrews AFB. Memories I cherish to this day.
