Charles "Ray" Esamann

82, of Avon, Indiana passed away on Nov. 9, 2012 in Avon Healthcare. He was born May 29, 1930 in Indianapolis to Charles G. and Ethel Daugherty Esamann. He married Betty L. Chambers in February of 1950, she survives. Ray held various positions at Eli Lilly Co. retiring in 1991 after 39 years. He was a Lifetime member of the Westside Knights of Columbus and was active in CYO Basketball. Ray was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield where a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Glenn O'Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hall-Baker Funeral Home , Plainfield. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Betty L. Esamann; sons, Terry Esamann and wife Sherry and Mike Esamann and wife Ingrid; brother, Harold Esamann; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Susanna Church, Piano Fund, 1210 East Main, Plainfield, Indiana, 46168. Online condolences can made at: http://www.bakerfuneralservice.com
