Charles Paddock Obituary
Charles "Pete" Paddock Age 68, passed away in his home Friday, March 4, 2005, one week after being honored at the last Zionsville Community High School basketball game, where he was presented a plaque detailing a scholarship that had been developed in his name. Charles "Pete" Paddock began serving the Zionsville Community schools in 1962 until his retirement in 2000. His ability to encourage, teach and model integrity has built character in the lives of many. His leadership skills helped make Zionsville School Corporation what it is today. His spiritual focus has guided his decisions and made him a man of compassion and of conviction with a desire to help others. Charles "Pete" Paddock was born October 31, 1936 in Marshall, Indiana. He grew up in Parke County and attended Indiana State University and played baseball for the Sycamores. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in biological sciences and his Masters degree in Secondary Education. His parents Charles L. Paddock and Nettie A. Paddock; brother Max Paddock; sister Norma Hobbs, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Betty L. (Harrison) Paddock; children Christi L. Spenard, Bruce L. Paddock, Cari L. Bilbee, Brent L. Paddock, Cheri L. Wilson; grandchildren Emily Spenard, Haley Spenard, Alex Spenard, Taylor Paddock, Kayla Paddock, Kyle Bilbee, Carissa Bilbee, Justin Bilbee, Samuel Paddock and Jack Paddock, William Paddock, Bradley Wilson, Katie Wilson, Sean Wilson; siblings Maxine Jones, Delores Brown, Frank Paddock, Robert Paddock, John Putnam and William Paddock. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005 at Zionsville Fellowship, 9090 E. State Rd. 334, Zionsville. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Zionsville Fellowship, Rev. Mark Thacker officiating.
