Cheryl Jean Young
Stepped into the arms of her Heavenly Father surrounded by family and friends at McGivney Health Care Center on Monday, November 7, 2011, at 9:15 a.m. Cheryl was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis. She was born to the late Orville R. and Virginia F. Young. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Paul R. Young.
Cheryl was a child at heart enjoying many hobbies. She loved Disney movies and embroidery. She played the organ and loved to sing. She loved all animals and had many pets during her life. Cheryl loved people and especially her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Cheryl is survived by her sisters, Dona Robbins-Cohen (Howard), Deborah Dahlstrand (Kim); nieces, Nikole Merritt, Alexandra Merritt, Maia Dahlstrand; nephews, Nicholas Dahlstrand (Ashley Horn), Evan Dahlstrand, Jason Cohen (Jeanette), Keller Cohen, Michael Cohen (Meaghan), Landon Cohen, Bryan Young, and Timothy Young.
Cheryl's family wants to thank her many health care providers, especially Lisa Wagner and Nancy Hanley (RN).
They also want to thank Beech Grove Meadows Nursing Home; and albeit brief, especially thank McGivney Health Care and AseraCare Hospice Center for making Cheryl's final weeks peaceful and comfortable.
Services will be held on Monday, November 14th, at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Broad Ripple , 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice Center or to the Marion County Humane Society. Online condolences may be made by visiting:
