I got to know Cliff at the White River Yacht Club. He was a fascinating guy to talk to with wide ranging interests. He also gave me a couple of his books to read and after we discussed them. He was also a patriot with a great love for this country and the Marine Corps. An obvious thing when talking with Cliff was the great love he had for his family and his wife, Karen. I will miss him very much!

Cliff was a leader/member of a coffee group that used to meet at the Healthplex following our morning workouts. He was a friend to all and kept conversations going with stories from his extensive memory bank. He shared some of his books with me and they kept me entertained and admiring of his imagination. Our group has dwindled away as we lost key members to the hazards of building collections of birthdays. Cliff, we miss you! To Cliff's family, we extend our deep sympathy. Victor Childers

Cliff was indeed a special friend. He possessed intelligence, integrity, loyalty and a great sense of humor. He sponsored my membership in the the White River Yacht Club and he and Karen became wonderful and fast friends. He was fun and interesting to talk to. He had great spirit and energy. His energy will forever surround his beloved wife, Karen, his family and his friends. Thank you, Cliff, for the memories. Love, Carolyn Barbieri

It is difficult to put in words the admiration felt by many for "Clift." A brilliant, charming gentleman with an incredible smile. It was always a welcome sight to see him at the White River Yacht Club. Special, was he always expected me to stop by and give him a hug, Karen said. He will be sorely missed by many of us.
