Danny Sankowsky

53, of Fortville, passed away on August 12, 2015. He was born June 11, 1962 in Hammond, Indiana to Peter and Florence Sankowsky. Danny loved fishing, dogs and was a life-long Colts fan. He was a grill master, known for his hamburgers. His greatest love was his family. He treasured time with his kids and was known as "Pop" to all of the neighborhood kids. He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence and his brother, Peter, Jr. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Lorri and his children, Caitlin (Matt) Moorman and Daniel E. Sankowsky, his sister, Barbara (Fred) Pfettscher and his nephew, Petie Sherwood.

A celebration of Danny's life will be from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan - Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. His family has asked that everyone dress casually and wear your Colt's gear in honor of Danny. Friends may sign his online guest registry at www.flannerbuchanan.com

So sorry for your loss Lorri, Caitlin and Daniel. We can only imagine the heartbreak you are going through. We saw all of you only once a year at Thanksgiving, but you made us feel like family. Will miss the "drumstick salute" that Dan and Mike used to do at the beginning of the feast!
