David Luechauer Obituary
Charleston, West Virginia - David L. Luechauer, Professor, Consultant, Speaker, Coach, Author , and better known to his admiring students and those close to him as "Doc Dave", passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 12:30pm at the St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. David was born in Mount Healthy, Ohio on January 25th, 1963. He earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Communication from Ohio Northern University, a master's degree in Communication and Psychology from Miami University of Ohio and a doctorate in Organizational Behavior and Social Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
His career journey took him to Butler University, in Indianapolis, Indiana where he was an associate professor of management and the leadership area coordinator. Friend of Bill W."
David is survived by his wife, Shelia Luechauer, his two sons, Michael Luechauer and Aaron Tucker, his sister-in-law, Amy Luechauer MacLean. He adored his family and they remain the pride and joy of his life. David's parents, Charles Luechauer and Elizabeth (Nee Colvin) Luechauer and his brother, Charles (Skip) Luechauer proceeded him in their death.
Memorial Services for David "Doc" Luechauer to celebrate his life here with us will be held at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St. Charleston, West Virginia 25301 on January 20th, 2018 @ 11:00AM. Please join us in celebrating his life. In lieu of a memorial gift we are accepting donations to honor Kanawha Valley Fellowships addiction resources center located at 1121 Virginia St. East Charleston, West Virginia 25301 and educational funds for his son through Chase Bank (please contact Sheila at [email protected])
