Derek Beall Obituary

Derek A. Beall 17, Indianapolis, passed away February 16, 2007. He was born April 24, 1989 and was a senior at Ben Davis High School. He was a member of the Ben Davis High School Wrestling Team, Indy West Wrestling Club, National Honor Society, Academic Giant, and Boy Scout Troop 494. Derek worked as an intern for Project Lead the Way at Eli Lilly. Derek enjoyed history and reading, and loved his family and friends, who describe him as a "picture perfect kid". Derek endeared himself to so many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth M. Stalzle. He is survived by mother, Diane C. Beall (Chris) ; father, David Anthony (Linda) Beall; brother, Justin D. Beall; stepbrother, Jeremy Chapman; grandparents, Ken and Gretchen Beall; and many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, February 19 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, located at 10th and Girls School Rd., where friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Derek A. Beall at Ben Davis High School to support the wrestling program and scholastic excellence. Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis.
