Elsie Landis Obituary

Elsie Elizabeth Castor Landis 79, Fishers. Our loving & beautiful mother, died in her residence on August 10, 2007. Her life was dedicated to her loving family. Elsie was born January 3, 1928 in Noblesville, to Effie Agnes (Purvis) and Walter M. Castor. Elsie was a homemaker. She was very active in Fishers United Methodist Church, where she was a 55-year member. She was also involved with Bethel Lutheran Church. She kept a journal starting in 1965. She and her husband had enjoyed traveling and camping. She is survived by daughters, Terry Booth of Fishers, Lee Anne (& Bart) Burrow of Noblesville, and Marcia (& Dean) Sexton of Elwood; sons, Tim (& Debra) Landis of Fountaintown, IN, and Mike (& Annette) Landis of Pendleton; sister, Thelma DeHart of Noblesville; 12 grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Mark, Zach, & Emily Landis, Chris, & Adam Booth, Dewey Sexton & Brandi (Sexton) Murphy, and Nick, Alex, & Luke Burrow; 11 great-grandchildren, Nathan & Ashley Sexton, Madeline, Abrianna, & Amelia Murphy, Katie, Abby, Emily, Chase, Brice, & Ray Landis; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life of 55 years, her husband, Charles Keith Landis; four sisters; and four brothers. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Fishers United Methodist Church, with Rev. Nelson Chamberlin, Rev. Mike Reed, officiating. Friends may call Monday, August 13, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Service of Hamilton County, Inc., PO Box 221, Noblesville, IN 46061.
