Emma Ruth "Judy" Michaelis
92, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on April 4, 1922 to John P. and Vienna Jones and was the last survivor of 11 children. Emma was a graduate of Monrovia High School and worked for US Rubber during WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul John Michaelis and is survived by her children, Gary P., Randy J. (Christi), Dennis M. (Sally), Beth A. Springman (John); 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Emma was caring and beautiful inside and out and was a wonderful person who loved life and showed love to everyone especially her family, friends, the Indiana Pacers and pet cats. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church where Emma was a member. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Daniel F O'Riley Funeral Home where prayers will be said on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. prior to Mass. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. My heart is with the entire family as you say good bye to this beautiful woman. Some day the pain will ease and you will recall wonderful stories and times of the past with HAPPY tears! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God has received a precious Angel.
