Fayette Aiman Obituary

Fayette Ann Miller Aiman 86, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006. Mrs. Aiman was president of Pleasant Run Farms Corporation of Ohio. She attended The Orchard School in Indianapolis, Holton Arms School in Washington, D.C., and Stevens College in Missouri. A blood relative of authors Booth Tarkington and Zane Grey, Mrs. Aiman was the granddaughter of Fenton Booth, Chief Justice of the U.S. Court of Claims under President Herbert Hoover. In Indianapolis, Mrs. Aiman was a member of The Progressive Club, The Colonial Dames, The Dramatic Club and Woodstock Club. She was a founding member of The Alumni Heritage Association of The Orchard School. While living in Chicago, she was a member of the Travelers' Aid Society. An artist herself, Mrs. Aiman was a strong supporter of the arts and a faithful volunteer at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Mrs. Aiman retained a life long interest in politics and was an active volunteer and precinct worker for the Republican party in Illinois and Indiana. She was predeceased by her first husband, Nathaniel C. Hamilton, Jr.; her son, Nathaniel C. Hamilton III; and her second husband, Pierre B. Aiman. Fayette Aiman was devoted to her family, a wonderful mother, fantastic grandmother and an incredible great grandmother. Survivors include children: Fayette Ann Moore, Michael M. Hamilton and Lance L. Hamilton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be private; there will be no calling. Memorial contributions may be made to The Ann Dean Alumni Scholarship Fund, mailed co The Orchard School, 615 West 64th Street. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46260. Arrangements entrusted to Crown Hill Funeral Home.
