Frederick Postlethwaite Obituary

Frederick Postlethwaite, Sr. Age 83, passed away peacefully at Hospice by the Sea of Boca Raton on Sunday, March 27, 2005 surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted and caring husband to his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth (Libby), and father to his son and daughter-in-law Frederick (Fritz) Postlethwaite, Jr., and Susan Sloan of Boca Raton, his daughter and son-in law, Beth and Jim Millar of North Carolina, and his daughter Linda Postlethwaite of Boca Raton. He is also survived by his three sisters in PA, and predeceased by his brother. Frederick was born in Altoona, PA, graduated Mercersburg Academy and Yale University and resided many years in both Indianapolis and Boca Raton, where he was a Senior VP of Investments with PaineWebber (now UBS) for over 40 years and trusted advisor, counselor and friend to all. Fred served on several boards including Lynn University and was a contributor to numerous other organizations in many and varied ways. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in Babione Funeral Home, East Chapel, Boca Raton, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to The Postlethwaite Endowed Family Scholarship at Lynn University or Hospice by the Sea of Boca Raton.
