Gale C. Tschuor 65, A prominent business leader, died December 20, 2004, at Community North Hospital. Born in 1939 in Muncie, and an Indianapolis resident for the past six years, he was the son of Carl M. and Drucilla Brown Tschuor. He married Beverly Jean Riley, December 6, 1957, and she survives. Mr. Tschuor was considered one of the most successful general contractors in Delaware and Marion counties. Starting as a laborer, he worked his way up to become a true American success story, building a multi-million dollar business. His firm, Gale Tschuor Co. Inc., built many of the major bridges, highway systems and office buildings throughout Indiana. Among his many ventures, Mr. Tschuor was a managing partner in the Park One development in Muncie and the utility that provided water and sewer service to park One; he was a partner in GDG Inc. which owns commercial and real estate investment properties; the former owner of T & T Realty; and a former partner in Williamsburg Properties and Key Chevrolet in Muncie. He was a member of the Ball State University Fellows Society, the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, Meridian Hills Country Club and the Tournament Players Club of Sarasota, Florida. He was a past member of the Associated General Contractors of Indiana, the Indiana constructors Inc. and Muncie Contractors Association, the Muncie Jaycees, Optimist Club and Rotary Club, the Ball State University Cardinal Varsity Club and Delaware Country Club. A graduate of Muncie Central High School, Mr. Tschuor met his lifelong love and friend, wife, Bev, in high school and began a romance that spanned 47 years. Other survivors include three sons, Dale C. Tschuor (wife-Brigette), Gale M. Tschuor (wife-Deidre), and Benjamin K. Tschuor (wife-Danette); eight grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Brianna, Peyton, Molly, Alias, Kyle and Anthony Gale; special nephew Michael Tschuor (wife-Susan); one brother, Carl M. Tschuor (wife-Cindy); and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 1400 W. Riverside Ave. in Muncie at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Thursday. The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Muncie, IN, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Marion County Mental Health Association, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
