Gary Duane Howell
60, of Martinsville, IN passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after a long illness of Pyoderma Gangrenosum.
He was a 1970 graduate of Monroe Central High School. He attended John Herron Art School, was a member of Martinsville Art Sanctuary, and St. Agnes Church in Nashville, IN.
He is survived by his mother, Mary A. Hoyt (husband Albert), Muncie, IN; his longtime companion of 33 years, Tom Curran; his aunt, Linda L. Harshman (special friend, Virginia Hiatt) Ridgeville, IN; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Levone Howell; grandparents, James and Ina Howell, Leonard and Dora Harshman; and his aunt, Betty L. Jarrett.

Gary was such a good friend. We worked together in Bloomington, and were of the same mind. We shared friends and family. I pray he is at rest. Tom I know your pain is greater than ours but this breaks my heart. We truly loved Gary.
