He really loved Bill Haley and The Comets. Will always think about him when I hear them.

Balderdash! As Mr. Pruitt would call it when he heard someone either make something up or say something he didn't want to hear. A truly lovely guy. One of my favorite teachers to the point that taking him for one class in junior year wasn't enough, so I took him for two classes my senior year. He had a tremendous sense of humor and he appreciated it when his students played along.
We had one record at the TV station, the Beach Boys' Endless Summer, and he would ask us if there was anything we'd like to hear. So, of course, one of us would ask, Do you have anything by, say, the Beach Boys? And he'd unfailingly reply, "Why I believe we do." Never got old. Though he did blow our minds when he brought in a Jerry Reed tape. You mean we now have two choices? Whoa! Enjoy your rest, sir. You deserve it. Peace.

Mr. Pruitt, along with JL, were the BEST teachers in ALL my years of education. I wanted nothing more than to stay in that TV Studio all day behind the camera. In 2004, 22 years after graduating UHS, I was doing lighting for a fundraiser a library in Indianapolis. Didn't realize until after I got home that he lived very close to there! Wish I could have met up with him... Such a nice and funny guy. Still have his business card from school. And some pictures from a party at his house in Union. Definitely missed.

RIP George. You were far and away my favorite teacher and a big influence on my early life. CAST was a great class and very innovative for its time. Although I am late, my condolences to all the family members and everyone that loved him.

Mr Pruitt was my daughter's CAST teacher at Union High School. Every day he's all she ever talked about when she came home. She loved him. We will never forget him.
