Gerald Epstein Obituary

Gerald Stanley Epstein DDS 83 years of age, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Upon return he attended Butler University and was a Graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Epstein practiced dentistry on the Westside of Indianapolis for 48 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, Indianapolis Dental Society, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, served as the president of the Macular Degeneration Society from 2002-2006, and was an active member of Kiwanis of Meridian Hills and a proud member of the R.O.M.E.O's. Following his retirement, Jerry was a volunteer in the Cardiology Department of St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Epstein is survived by his dear family: wife, Esther Siegel Epstein; children, Laurie (Michael) Terris of Sacramento, CA, Mark (Joan) Epstein of Louisville, KY and Ellen Epstein of Bloomington, IN; and his 3 beloved grandchildren, Ben and Sam Terris and Ross Epstein. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 11:00 am in Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary with burial following in Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Community Center of Indianapolis or The Sidney Maurer-Feed the Hungry Fund co Congregation Beth-El Zedeck or KIWANIS of Meridian Hills, PO Box 40761 Indianapolis, IN 46240-0761 One may place an on- line condolence at: www.arnmortuary.com
