Harold was our neighbor here in Florida for the past 15 years. When we met him and Rena, they instantly became our friends and quickly became "family". We spent so much time talking and laughing, out in the yard and in his garage.
I always looked forward to having them here in the winter and felt sad when he and Rena left in the spring.

Sometimes, I'd have a tough day, and Harold would show up with some tomatoes , and a smile, tell me something "not so serious", tell me how to raise my kids, and he'd offer up support. For me this meant so much!!!
He mowed my lawn in the winter and even planted green beans in my garden one year.
He watched my kids collect Easter Eggs, sprayed them with the hose, came to Christmas dinner, ordered pizza for Super Bowls, and watched my kids take their first steps outside.

We enjoyed every minute with Papaw Harold...... And Mamaw too!He was a big part of our collective family.
I'll always miss him , and smile when I think about him. We were lucky to have him so close.

Harold always made us laugh at the Diner. That is of course after he'd get all the teasing in he could get away with. Harold was a fine man. He and Raymond were quite the pair. Prayers to Rena and his family.

Uncle Harold, you will be missed by so many. I have fond memories of growing up with you as my uncle. I will never forget when I was about 5 years old and we all went to Liberty Land near Memphis. We were on some boat ride and you had the whole boat cracking up & laughing. My father Ron, was very fond of you as well. I hope you guys are up there in Heaven having a good time! My mother also enjoyed visiting with you. She said you were always so much fun to be around. She said she will miss you. Your positive energy always lit up any gathering. Love and Miss You! Your niece Robin Vargas Collier.
