I had the pleasure of working long distance with Helen several years ago. I machine quilted many of her quilts from 1996-2001. She was always so friendly to me and I loved getting to know her just a little. I remember her very well. Sending love from Texas.

Dear O'Malia Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Everyone loved Helen Jo, she was a joy to be around and just brought a spark of sunshine to your day. I have fond childhood memories of Helen Jo as I would often stop in to see her with my Mom or Dad at the Fireplace shop on College Ave since my Dad, Paul, owned the shop next door. She always made our family feel so welcome. She will be missed, but never forgotten, she was a part of my young life that I will always cherish.
God Bless,
Diane

A wonderful woman, a wonderful businesswoman. I trusted her judgment and knew she stood behind whatever she sold. One of a kind.

I hold many dear memories of this dear lady and the whole O'Malia family. I had many good times with her kids as we were neighbors for many years! Helen Jo and Bill would call me over to play music for them and whenever they had company after they purchased a new Wurlitzer organ they neither one knew how to play. What great times. I express my sympathy to Mike, Kevin and John and their families. May God bless you and comfort you in the coming days.

Helen became a part of my life as my mom babysat her first granddaughter, Kelly. I never called her Helen, to me she was Grandma O. She welcomed our family into hers and we shared many holidays, events, family events and fun times together. I will love her always and have the fondest memories of Grandma O. Much love to all of the O'Malia family.

30 some years ago, Helen was a customer of mine-she bought the Cairn gnomes from me. I always enjoyed the time I spent with her when I went to the store. We had several Tom Clark promotions together--dinner, signings, and just having fun. I often think about her, particularly when I pass where the store was, and wonder what she was up to. She was a grand lady.
