Jacqueline Werner Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Werner 80, Indianapolis, passed away March 18, 2007. Jackie was born March 14, 1927 to the late Joseph M. and Leona Brackman Werner. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and the St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1948, and then began an extensive career in the nursing profession. Jackie worked at Methodist Hospital as an office nurse for Dr. Sicks and Dr. Nagen, the Indiana Blood Bank, and then returned to Methodist, where she worked in the Radical Surgery Dept., retiring in the early 90's. She is survived by three sisters, Barbara DeMasie of Carmel, Marilyn May of Indianapolis and Jo Ellen Forestal of Indianapolis; one brother, Donald Werner of Indianapolis; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Austin "A.J." Werner in 1994. Friends and family will gather Friday, March 23, 2007 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 in the St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
