James Richard Enochs
83, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at his home. He was born April 3, 1928, to C. Carroll and Virginia F. (Wright) Enochs in Indianapolis, Indiana and had been a resident of Sebring since 1990, coming from Greenwood, Indiana.
He was a Liaison with the Telephone Company and a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1948-1954, serving in Korea and China during the last two years. He was a Life Member of the American Legion, serving for over 50 years and was a Past Commander, Vice Commander and Finance Officer of Greenwood Post 252 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine in Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Enochs of Sebring; daughter, Karen Faires, Indianapolis, IN; son, Larry Buitron, Homestead, FL; daughter, Kim Brock, Crawfordsville, IN and daughter, Lisa Suit, Talking Rock GA; step-daughter, Mickey Richeson, Cincinnati, OH; step-son, Rex Kottkamp, Scottsville, AZ; step-daughter, Brenda Breen, Southport, IN and step-daughter, Lori Kottkamp, Kingman, ME; sister, Barbara Gardner, Greenwood, IN; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Sebring, with Rev. George Miller officiating.
