James Mozzillo Obituary
68, of Plainfield, passed away on October 12, 2017. Dr. James J. Mozzillo, 68, Plainfield passed away peacefully Thursday, October 12, 2017 after a difficult battle with cancer. Jim was born in the Bronx, NY on February 20, 1949. He was united in marriage on April 8, 1994 to Zandra Nelson in Mooresville.
Jim earned is BS degree from Fairleigh Dickinson in 1970; Masters of Science from The Cooper Union in NY, in 1975; Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1979 and a Masters in Public Health/Occupational Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2001. He worked for General Motors as Medical Director from 1996 to 2012 in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indianapolis; Avon Urgent Care and US Health Works. Jim was a dedicated member of LifePointe Community Church of the Nazarene in Mooresville.
Jim was a loving husband, stepfather and grandfather who enjoyed scuba diving, Ham Radio and collecting pens and watches.
Jim is survived by his wife Zandra (Nelson) Mozzillo; stepchildren, Jeffery Nelson (Stephanie), Christopher Nelson and Sarah Wagner (Clay); grandchildren, Megan, Shelby, MacKenzie, Spencer and Sawyer Nelson; Ezra and Elias Wagner; and one great-grandchild, Makiah McClain.
Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life service to be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 beginning at 5 p.m., with visitation hours from 2 p.m to 5 p.m, LifePointe Community Church, 825 N Indiana St., Mooresville.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Jim's name to LifePointe Community Church of Mooresville or the American Cancer Society.

Jim Mozzillo and I grew up together in the Bronx. He was a dear friend and was an usher in my Wedding Party. No words can say how shocked I am at his passing. We spent many a great time together and shared the same interests in many things. I'll always remember being at his home and his Mom would call me "Cow Eyes" because i have big brown eyes. R.I.P. my dear friend and God Bless you and your family!
