James M. Pagel
89, Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012. Born June 28, 1922 in Indianapolis to the late Karl and Cora Pagel. He was a US Army veteran of WW II, served in the National Guard for 36 years and was a life time member of American Legion.
Survivors include sons, Edward (Patricia) Pagel, Thomas (Melinda) Pagel; six grandchildren, Lincoln, Aaron, Jason, Amber, Cameron and Zach; many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Esther; son Daniel; siblings Lucille Head, Oliver & William.
Visitation 5-8:00 pm on Thursday, January 12 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home , 5141 Madison Avenue, with the funeral service conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 13. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to D.A.V. Your family has my sympathy. Jim worked with my husband, Col Claude Shields @ the Jack K. Elrod Company. A lot of the time was spent in Ohio. Claude passed away on 9-1-2007.
