Jeremy Hacker Obituary
36, of Greenwood, passed away on November 4, 2015. Born in East Chicago to Joseph and Linda Hacker. Jeremy graduated from the University of Indianapolis where he played baseball and was on the team that went to the NCAA Division II World Series in 2000. Jeremy Graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residencies in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Indiana University Hospital-Indianapolis and the University of Tennesee-Knoxville. He was an Anesthesiologist with Pioneer Anesthesia Consultants. Jeremy also volunteered with Operation Walk in Guatemala where he provided anesthesia services.
Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Melissa, children Aidan James and Sage Allyn, step-daughter, Makena Leigh Wallace, brother, Michael Sean Hacker (Christa); and sister, Jennifer Lynn Johnson (Ryan), nieces and nephew, Kaitlyn, Stephen, and Josie.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church, 381 N Bluff Rd., Greenwood, IN 46142, followed by a Celebration of Jeremy's life at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will also be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN 46321, with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home, from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 4:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East. Mr. and Mrs. Hacker, Melissa, and family, Jeremy was one of the finest young gentlemen I've ever had the honor to teach and coach. His leadership by example made those around him better, and his humble, yet confident demeanor while displaying outstanding skills made him the ultimate student-athlete. I think of his team often, and will miss "The Ice Man" a great deal. My thoughts and wishes are with you.

Melissa. My heart is broken for you. Words seem inadequate. Jeremy was one of the easiest, sweetest, and kindest anesthesiologist I've ever worked with. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about. May God comfort you and the family. He will be missed.
