John F. Samuelson Jr.

John Franklin Samuelson, Jr. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. John Franklin Samuelson Jr. born March 9th, 1941 in Bedford, Indiana to parents John and Annette Samuelson. John passed away at his retirement home in Clearwater, Florida, June 17th, 2009. John worked for the Indiana State Highway department for 46 years. He recently retired in December of 2008. Ever since John was 16 years old, he worked at various grocery stores; IGA, Kroger and most recently Marsh. John's passion was dancing, his dog Lucy, and rooting for the New York Yankees. While John joins his parents in heaven, he leaves behind his wife: Bonnie Samuelson, his two sons who reside in Phoenix, AZ: John Franklin Samuelson III and Jeff Samuelson and one daughter: Julie Bayh who resides in Martinsville, Indiana. John has five grandchildren. He also leaves behind Stepchildren, Derrick and Gwen Kuhns, Mathew and Krista Pretrilli, Cory and Leah Kuhns; six step-grandchildren; step-nephew David and Melonie Holt and their children Tyler and Jacob; one dog, two cats and many friends. He will forever be loved, and in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at Lenox Club House, 930 Lenox Ln. Carmel, IN 46032, August 8th, 2009 at 1 p.m. At the family's request, any donations are to be sent to the Diabetes Foundation.
