Joseph L (Jay) Quinn III

Joseph L (Jay) Quinn III of Indianapolis passed away peacefully in Florida April 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph & Mary Quinn. He is survived by his wife Jeanne Spellman Quinn, Lucy the Lab, sister Pamela Gibbard, niece Elizabeth, daughter Stephanie, grandson Austin, granddaughter Chiara, cousins and many friends in auto racing (his true passion).He was a well known official for SCCA and other racing bodies. His first Indy 500 was in 1949 and he worked under his father at IMS. Born May 29, 1939 we will celebrate his birthday and life at Vinny's, 707 N Lynhurst beginning 12:30 Saturday May 29, 2021. Final checkered flag Jay.

Didn't know you were gone, old buddy. Sorry I didn't stay in touch. Had some good times back in the seventies, didn't we? Thanks for being there when I needed a haircut, a tool, a friend.
