John, Chuck, and family,

I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Losing our parents is so hard but I know we will see them again someday. You are in my thoughts and pryaers.

I will always remember the many old stories that you related to me, while we were cubicle-mates at First Group Engineering. They helped to inspire me to start going to the woods during the last 16 years and enjoying many wonderful experiences with your two sons, Chuck and John. One of my proudest moments was when I was able to take the picture of the three of you with my only Hoosier National Forest turkey. Looking back at that picture, I think there were actually four turkeys in that picture. As I recall, Chuck and John [two young Jakes] were "sparing/sword-fighting" with fire-sticks from the camp-fire before I produced the turkey from my vehicle. You will always be remembered by me as the "GREATEST TOM TURKEY EVER" [strutting your stuff, with every story you told, especially the one about the "Proud Buck" you say jump that stream, located east of the "Beech Tree" camping spot]!

We will always miss and remember you, especially when we are in "your" woods!

Joe was one of those men in your life you never forget. Rest in peace my dear friend. I will never forget the old stories and the laughs we had. You where like a second Dad to me in many ways.
