Joy DeLay Obituary
83, Indianapolis, passed away on March 21, 2015. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 26, 1931 to the late Gilbert and Sara Craig Richey. Joy graduated from Howe High School and attended Butler University. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed cross stitch and embroidery. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Butler University and former member of Mud Creek Players.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd.
Joy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Tom DeLay; children, Tad (Linda), Dan (Julie), Debbie Parrish, and Andy (Monica); sister-in-law, Mary Richey; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her brother, Gilbert Richey and grandsons, Jordan and Gabriel DeLay preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 3500 DePauw Boulevard, Suite 1040, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
