June B. Passmore

81, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 31, 2015. She was born March 2, 1934 in Ono, KY, to the late Kermit and Debbie Polston Hughes. June was a graduate of Russell Springs High School, KY. She married Ruel Eldon Passmore, and he preceded her in death March 31, 1994 after 40 years of marriage. 

June was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved arts & crafts, sewing and crocheting; and most importantly spending time with her family. She always had a positive outlook on life and loved to laugh.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, KY.

June is survived by her children, David Passmore and Debra Passmore; grandson, Jason Passmore; sister, Judy Waggoner; sister-in-law, Molene Hughes; and several beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. A brother, Ruel Hughes; and two sisters, Joyce Stephens and M. Verna Lee Wilson, preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and/or the National Kidney Foundation. Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel. www.shirleybrothers.com.

Miss June attended Calvary Baptist Church several years ago when she was able. She was such a sweet person, who enjoyed coming. I will always remember her wearing hats & a smiling face. One day I will see her in heaven. May God bless you all.
