Kenneth Hanna Obituary
77, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 27, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on January 7, 1940 to James and Zeldia Hanna in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a high school teacher and coach for most of his career. He was also an avid writer and published many books. His most recent publication was a series of 8 children's history books that he co-authored with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Wanda Kay (Todd) Truan and Kendra Moran; grandchildren Luke and Sarah Moran; sister Kay (Lee) Atkinson; nephew Keith Atkinson; and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to St. George Orthodox Church, where Ken was an active member, at stgindy.org/donate or The American Lung Association at lung.org.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis from 4 to 8 pm. A Trisagion for the Departed will be held at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1 at Indiana Funeral Care at 10 am. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
