Marilyn Laughner Obituary

Marilyn Shuel Laughner, 80, Carmel, died March 9, 2003. Mrs. Laughner was born on December 24, 1922 in Princeton, IN to the late John Leslie and Estelle (Usery) Shuel. On March 14, 1950, she married her husband of over 52 years, Richard F. Laughner, who survives. In addition to Mr. Laughner, survivors include her children, Lisa Newton, Rick Laughner (Barbara); Grandchildren, Adam Newton, Jonathan Laughner, Alex Newton, Katie Laughner; one great granddaughter, Kaleigh Newton; Niece, Leslie Shuel Schuetz (Tom); nephew, Steve Shuel (Kathy); special friends, Wanda Hartzell, Marge Viehman. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill J. Shuel (Joan). Friends may greet the family Tuesday from 4-7 PM in Leppert & Hensley Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM in the mortuary with entombment following in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
