Leah R. Wasson
age 7, beloved daughter of Kyle and Jennifer Wasson, Pittsboro, passed away Feb. 27, 2014. Leah was a second grade student at North Salem Elementary School. She was loved by many family, friends, community and Riley Staff. She could immediately etch a permanent place in your heart with her smile and sound of her voice. Her actions of caring for others always humbled those around her. She showed courage and strength facing all that was put in front of her. She made us proud and honored to be her parents and taught us many things about life and how to have courage to step forward through the storm.
She loved her family and friends with all her heart. She is also survived by her sister Brianna and brother Nolan; grandparents Mary Beth Wasson and Bob and Janet Austin; great grandparents Lorene Griffiths, Deloris and George Greer, and Margie Austin. She was preceded in death by grandfather Larry Wasson and great grandfather Paul Austin.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tues. March 4 at Connection Pointe Christian Church with funeral services there at 10 a.m. Wed. March 5. Burial will be in Lizton K of P Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Zoe's Bone Marrow Buddies, PO Box 19, Westfield, IN 46074 or http://www.zoebmb.org Online guestbook at http://www.matthewsmortuary.com

I have a 6 and 3 year old and I truly don't know what to say. Leah looks like the sweetest little girl with an infectious smile and gentle spirit. It looks like you have lots of people that care about you all and that will help carry you during this difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss.

I used 2 work in the Bone Marrow Transplant office and I know how particularly hard it was losing the little ones. From her photo, Leah looks adorable. I am on the Registry to donate my bone marrow. My nephew, Sam Linder, Jr has been alive 20 yrs now after his bone marrow transplant. His cousin lost her daughter, Danyiel, to a brain tumor at age 13. We know where they r with our heavenly Father. Blessings and sympathy go out to u at this difficult time. God bless and keep u in his loving care always until u c Leah once again.

I am saddened to hear of your loss. It is especially difficult when it is your own child. I would have liked to have known Leah.
I suppose that I am connected in some way. Hollie Goodwins'cousin is Leah's mother. I am Hollies' cousin twice removed.
I cannot imagine what you have been through and what you ate going through now. I do know that sweet Leah is being held in Gods arms surrounding her with everlasting warmth and love. This may not help now, but just know that there is family out there beyond your immediate families that are hugging you right now.
