Leonard C. Davis
87, of Indianapolis, passed away June 12, 2012. He was born October 19, 1924 to the late Leonard and Neva Davis. Leonard lived in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from East High School. He went into the Army Air Corps, where he was a B - 17 navigator. He was shot down in Germany and spent 8 months in prison camp until the end of the war. After getting out of the Army Air Corps, he graduated from the University of Michigan Engineering School. He earned his Master's Degree from Purdue University. He worked at Allison Division of General Motors until retirement. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and spent 60 years in various church choirs. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Caroline; his son, John Davis, and daughter, Margaret (Steve) Wilbur. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will also be held at the church on Saturday from Noon until time of the service. Burial to follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
