Louis N. Sofianopoulos
86, of Kokomo, IN, beloved husband, father and papou, died on August 25, 2014. Louis was born on February 28, 1928 in Tripoli, Greece to Nicholas and Angeline (Kuvales) Sofianopoulos. Louis served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Nick's Shoe Repair in Kokomo, IN. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Louis was preceded in death by his sister and brother in law Dena (Joe) Krestakos. Calling will be held on Friday August 29, 2014 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 3500 West 106th St. Carmel, IN 46224 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 p.m. Additional calling will be held on Saturday August 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at church. Louis is survived by his wife, Penny (Hatzidimitriou) Sofianopoulos; and their children, Nick (Vickie) Sofianopoulos, Eleny (Duane) Hostetler and Angela Sofianopoulos; grandchildren, Jonathan, Lewis, Michael Hostetler and Katie and Dean Sofianopoulos; siblings, Pericles (Vicky) Sofianopoulos, Esterine (Leo) Demos and Alex (Jim) Angelopoulos. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
