Penny Sofianopoulos

Penny Sofianopoulos, 91, of Kokomo, passed away on November 18, 2023. She was born in Rhodes, Greece to John Hatzidimitriou and Eleny (Kouros) Hatzidimitriou. Penny was a loving, caring mother and devoted wife who exemplified the Greek expression of “Philotimo”. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends and most of all cherished her five grandchildren. She was an active member of the Daughters of Penelope and longtime member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Carmel.

 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 55 years Louis, and sister Flora Jannetides

Survivors include her children Nick (Vickie) Sofianopoulos, Eleny ( Duane) Hostetler, Angela Sofianopoulos; grandchildren Jonathan, Lewis and Michael Hostetler, Katie and Dean Sofianopoulos.

Visitation will be held Sunday November 26th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3500 W 106th St. Carmel, IN. Trisagion service will begin there at 7:00pm.
