Indiana Funeral Care - IndianapolisRandy Powell, 72, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away on March 3, 2026. Born on March 11, 1953, in Connersville, Indiana, to Robert D. Powell and Pauline Wilson Powell, Randy spent 36 years making Westfield his home and filling it with faith, love, and laughter.
Randy was a dedicated public servant who began a 17-year career as the Assistant City Engineer for Carmel, Indiana, in 1980. His commitment to his community was evident both in his professional work and in his personal life.
Above all else, Randy loved God and his family with a passion that touched everyone around him. He attended Indiana Bible Fellowship for many years and found great joy in sharing God's Word with others. His faith was the foundation of everything he did and the source of the warmth and strength he offered to all who knew him.
Randy was a loving husband to Vicki (Price) Powell for 40 years, and a devoted father to their wonderful daughter, Sarah. He cherished every moment as a grandfather to his grandson, Elian Isaac Perez. Whether he was out fishing, camping under the open sky, or simply being "Grandpa," Randy brought joy and energy to everything he did. He was, in every sense of the word, a loving husband and a proud dad.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife Vicki (Price) Powell; his daughter Sarah (Alex) Perez; his grandson Elian Isaac Perez; his sister Penny (Sid) Porter of Richmond, Indiana; and his nephew Scott (Alisa) Porter of Connersville, Indiana; and great-nieces Gabi and Hannah Porter.
Randy Powell was a man of deep faith, quiet strength, and boundless love. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 2 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 1 pm.
