It may be late to send condolences to family members whose grieving has subsided, but it is never too late to express gratitude for the endless stream of wisdom and personal support that Mr. Marks was for me. I was his undergraduate student at Butler University from 1967 to 1971. Mr. Marks gave me a strong, sure technical and musical foundation upon which I built in further studies. I would never be the successful teacher I am today without the irreplaceable input Mr. Marks had in my life, and will never forget the role he plays in my musical foundation.
