Matthew Jones Obituary

Matthew Jack Jones 64 of Indianapolis passed away December 21, 2005. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on August 25, 1941. Jack attended Elder High School and the University of Cincinnati. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964 where he was was a Chief Petty Officer on USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. He married Christine L. Koch on October 26, 1968. They had 37 wonderful years of marriage. Jack worked for General Mills for 17 years. The last 15 years, he sold insurance for the Knights of Columbus and Physicians Mutual. He was an active coach in CYO at St. Matthew's Catholic School and Fall Creek Little League. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Chuch since 1977. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Chris; children: Steve, Michelle (Boyd), and Nicole; three grandchildren, Hunter, Dakota, and Austin(Boyd); sister, Mariam Strattman and brother, Alan Jones. Funeral service 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew Catholic Church(56th and Binford Blvd. ). Vistiation from 4 to 8 p.m, Monday, December 26th in the mortuary. in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Walther Cancer Institute in Jack's name.
