Maurice O'Connor Obituary

Maurice L. O;Connor, 75, of Mooresville, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004. He was born March 1, 1928 in Paducah, KY, son to the late Beauna Ann (Stovall) and George Rufus O;Connor. He was married to Frances M. (Puckett) O;Connor September 9, 1950, and she survives. Mr. O;Connor worked as a gang leader for General Motors Truck & Bus for 31 years, retiring in 1981. He was also a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Maurice Rodney O;Connor and Lawrence Lindol O;Connor, both of Mooresville; two daughters, Pamela Ann O;Connor and Denise Coffman, both of Mooresville; one sister, Angie Elmore of Fairland; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 16 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, January 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery, Martinsville. Memorial contributions to St. Thomas More Building Fund, 1200 N. Indiana St., Mooresville, IN 46158. Arrangements entrusted to Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville.
