Melvin Blades Obituary
75, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 29, 2016. He was born on March 26, 1941, in Pennsylvania to the late Orville and Valetta Blades. Mel was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Mel is survived by his wife Sharon; two stepchildren, four grandchildren and cousins in Pennsylvania.
Visitation Saturday, December 3, 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center and Sunday, December 4, 1:30 pm until service at 3:30 pm at Christ United Methodist Church. The full obituary can be viewed at www.singletonmortuary.com

Mel Blades was my best friend at Park college. He was a friendly and cheerful person and held me in a much higher regard than which I deserved. We had happy moments playing sports together.
I will miss him greatly.
