Nancy Sue DeBaun Tucker
Indianapolis, died peacefully at her Indianapolis home on Friday, October 4, 2013 with her husband, Fred and 2 loving dogs, Lucy and Buzz at her side.
Nancy was born on December 11, 1940 to John and Iva DeBaun and spent her childhood years in Montezuma, Indiana. After graduating from Montezuma High School, Nancy attended Indiana State University before beginning careers with Baxter Travenol, NCR and F.C. Tucker Company, Inc., where she served as Vice President of Human Resources. She completed her career as the founder and President of DeBaun Floral Designs before retiring in 1998.
Nancy and her husband Fred enjoyed travel, golf, their primary home in Naples, Florida and many fun times and experiences with family and friends. She was a member of Old Oakland Golf Club in Indianapolis and Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Fred; loving children, Randall Porter and Monica Cox (Mark); grandchildren, Stefanie Solano (Juan), Kevin Porter and Jordan Cox; and step-children, Fred Tucker, IV (Corey), Betsy Tucker Moffitt (Tim) and sister, Shirley Thomas (Ron). She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Debaun and sister, Alice Patterson and her favorite dog, Albert.
Nancy and Fred would like to thank Dr. Stephen Schultz, Karen Grooms and the staff at American Health Network for service to Nancy and are extremely grateful to Dr. Charles Hasbrook for his unending care, support and friendship.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Crown Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, followed by service at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, 8402 Harcourt Rd., Ste 210, Indianapolis 46260 or Goodwill of Central Indiana, 1635 West Michigan St, Indianapolis 46222.
