Neva Wampler Obituary
Greenfield - Neva Wampler, 88 years old, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, September 15, 2019. She was born in 1930 in Plymouth, Michigan, then residing in north east Indianapolis since 1964. She spent the past 2 1/2 years at an assisted living facility in Greenfield, IN.
She was an incredible loving mother who taught the importance of loving God and family. She raised 11 kids, teaching them the importance to love God and family by example. We are so thankful God chose her to be our faithful, wonderful, mother and friend.
She served in her church on the missionary committee, a weekly greeter, director of the missionary store house, organized meals for families, and prayer groups. She cherished her time spent being the door greeter at church. She also assisted with Love, Inc of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Wampler, her son, Jerry Sommerman, and her seven siblings. She is survived by 10 children; Beth (RW) Mackey, Daughter-in-Law Susan Sommerman; Jill (John) Eno, John David (Linda) Wampler; Annette Wampler; Steve (Susan) Wampler; David (Sandra) Sommerman, Roxanne Spoo, Kathleen (Dave) Eikenberry, Alice (John) Cook, and Tim Wampler. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Castleview Church, 8601 Hague Road, Indianapolis, on Saturday, September 28th. Visitation starts at 1:30 pm, with the service following at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Castleview Church Missionary Fund.

To the family of Neva,
We were delighted to know Neva as a friend and fellow follower of Christ. She cared for others in a marvelous fashion and loved her church. Her greetings were always genuine and she was very aware of the challenges people she knew were facing.
