Patricia Coy Obituary

Patricia Anne Rund Coy longtime resident of Whiteland, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was born February 24, 1930 in Helmsburg, Indiana to J. Hubert Rund and Helen (Richards) Rund. She married William E. Coy on August 8, 1954 at Community Congregational Church in Franklin, he survives. She had been a kindergarten teacher for twenty five years at the Greater Whiteland Kindergarten. She was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church in Franklin. She enjoyed gardening. She attended Ball State University and Franklin College. Survivors include her husband, William E. Coy; three sons, John (Joni) Coy of Greenwood, Andrew (Lisa) Coy of Ft. Myers, Florida, Joseph (Lori) Coy of Greenwood, and Jane (Thierno) Talla of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Andres of Atlanta, Georgia, Jenna Coy of Orlando, Florida, Jordan Coy of Greenwood, Aubrey Coy of Lynchburg, Virginia, Chelsey (Robert) Fox of Ft. Myers, Florida, Donna (Steve) Coleman of Cleveland, Ohio, Lisa Chibbaro of Ft. Myers, Florida, Koli Talla and Elizabeth Talla both of Indianapolis; a great grandchild, Zachary Fox of Ft. Myers, Florida; two brothers, William Rund of Windfall, Indiana and Robert Rund of Fairland, IN; a sister, Linda (Rund) Bowers of Lovington, IL. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janie (Rund) Hendricks. The Reverends Fred Brown and Randy Maynard will conduct a service 10 a.m. Monday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call Sunday from 2 p.m. till 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Building fund, 1600 Westview Drive, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
