Pauline Rodewald
82, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012. She was born on April 26, 1929 in Johnstown, PA to John and Annie Karageanes, of which she was one of ten children. At a very young age the brothers and sisters assigned funny, and sometimes silly, nicknames to each other, and, in a few cases, the nicknames stayed with them throughout their lives. Pauline was "Bup".
Following graduation from Johnstown High School and a local business school, Pauline entered the executive secretary field, where she met and married Bob Ammermann. Their marriage produced two children, Mike and Tricia; two grandchildren, David and Amanda; and great-grandson Jake.
Widowed early in life, her next partner Bob Rodewald, found her by hearing and following her magnificent laugh across a crowded ballroom. This marriage added three more children, Sue, Bob and Jim and four more grandchildren, Laura, Lissa, Jim and Jack.
The Pauline / Bob union started a 36-year adventure that included small plane flying, skiing in Colorado, snorkeling in the Bahamas, traveling all across the world, and finishing it off by going back and forth across North America in an RV. Thanks "Bup", it was a great ride!
