Robert W. Kidd

Robert Wayne Kidd 76 years old of North Salem, IN, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006. He was born November 22, 1929 in Horse Cave, KY, the son of the late James Garnet Kidd and the late Minnie Byrd (Davis) Kidd. He was a member of North Salem Christian Church and a life long mechanic who operated a garage for 37 years in Brownsburg, Indiana, continuing to be a mechanic at home. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Viola Kidd; daughter, Robin Croan; sons: Terry Kidd (Vickie), Michael Kidd (Delores), and Brian Kidd (Charlotte); step-sons: Kyle Goodnight (Teas) and Neal Goodnight (Lisa); step-daughters: Lise Crouch (Bob) and Erin Goodnight: 13 grandchild, 7 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchild, and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Elaine Richardson and her husband, Jerry still survives. Friends will be received Friday, May 19, 2006 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana. Services will be held at the North Salem Christian Church, Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Robert Crouch officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
